Eigenvalue bounds for compressible stratified magnetoshear flows varying in two transverse directions

چکیده
Three eigenvalue bounds are derived for the instability of ideal compressible stratified magnetohydrodynamic shear flows in which base velocity, density, and magnetic field vary two directions. The first bound can be obtained by combining Howard semi-circle theorem with energy principle Lagrangian displacement. Remarkably, no special conditions needed to use this bound, some cases, we establish stability flow. second third come out from a generalisation Miles-Howard theory have similarity semi-ellipse Kochar & Jain (J. Fluid Mech., vol. 91, 1979, 489) found Cally (Astrophys. Dyn., 31,1983, 43), respectively. An important byproduct investigation is that condition holds only when there applied and, addition, directions stratification aligned everywhere.

Random sampling remap for compressible two-phase flows
In this paper we address the problem of solving accurately gas-liquid compressible flows without pressure oscillations at the gas-liquid interface. We introduce a new Lagrange-projection scheme based on a random sampling technique introduced by Chalons and Goatin in [CG07]. We compare it to a ghost fluid approach introduced in [WLK06, MBKKH09] which is based on the ghost fluid method for the po...

A conservative hyperbolic model for compressible two-phase two-fluid model is studied and numerical methods for its approximate solution are proposed. The derivation of the governing equations of the model is based on the principles of extended thermodynamics. The field equations form a hyperbolic system of balance equations in conservative form, which guarantees the well-posedness of the initi...

The aim of this research project is to take an existing compressible two-phase flow solver and to turn it into a fully parallelized scalable MPI code capable of simulating three-dimensional geometries at unprecedented resolution with high fidelity to the basic physics. The existing code has been developed by several academics (Stephen Shaw, Xi’an JiaotongLiverpool University, and Peter Spelt, E...
